Visual Art/Drama

  • The Conservatory will be offering (group) lessons in Visual Art holding 5 to 7 students per class Tue- Sat 3:00pm to 6:00pm, some materials will be given to students such as art paper, paint brushes and paint, other special materials will have to be purchased by the student. Drama classes will be held on Fri-Sat 10:00am to3:00pm. The Drama classes will be held in (group sessions)5 to 10 students per session age range will start at 10 yrs to young teens for youth drama series, Adults 18yrs and up for mature student in drama series
  • The Visual/ Drama activity will be initiated at the Conservatory in the Fall of 2004, the drama/ visual art will continue to be our main activities.
  • All sessions, will be held at the conservatory and conducted by certified Visual Art and Drama instructors.
  • The Conservatory main purpose is to enrich the educational and cultural opportunities of youth adults from throughout the Detroit Metropolitan area with a special emphasis on students from the under-privileged households, through the provision of educational activities and classes focusing on musical instrument such as the concert bass, visual art, and drama to help train and produce master artists.

Hello Students and Friends

The Brush Park Conservatory would like to tell you about our updates in our newsletter entitle" What's New At BPC". The Conservatory was currently at the African American Museum Summer Camp 2005 for kids from ages 3yrs to 15yrs of age. The Conservatory invited instructors in different fields of education to join them in teaching the children something new and exciting in the arts. The Hannan Choraleer's a senior citizens singing group was also invited to sing they sounded Great! Thanks Ladies and Gentlemen.

Hello students and friends

The Conservatory had a successful Fundraiser/ Recital  2008. It included the Tom Allport Big Band

We are planning our next annual Fundraiser/Recital 2009 in the month of May 2009. Please stay tune for more information concerning the event. 

Noel Night 2009 was Great Fun!! for the students and their parents, which was held at the International Institute where the Conservatory presently is being housed.All the students had a opportunity to perform their music on various instruments for the evening.

The Conservatory is planning to merge with the Charles H. Wright African American Museum for
Black History Month,for educational workshops in music history!
